Buildings perform and operate more efficiently and effectively with a holistic and integrated approach to managing their core systems. Learn the lighting existing and developing codes and standards which advocate for more actionable data, building information, and system integration. Witness how using a holistic building management platform delivers a smart building control and management, improving building performance and facility administration. We’ll explore how lighting controls serve as a key data source and integration point for broader building systems. We’ll also discuss the growing market demand and key benefits behind system integration, and how a holistic building platform approach positions stakeholders to meet the evolving expectations of smart buildings.
Why this topic is of interest
Today the vision for smart buildings extends beyond individual products, systems and the tools that enable them. Smart buildings must operate more safely, efficiently, productively, and be more easily managed. Designers need to know how lighting and other buildings systems should integrate, as well as what data, codes, and standards are important to specifying and designing buildings capable of supporting a holistic building management platform. These building platforms provide facility managers and building owners with the building intelligence and actionable insights to increase building performance and improve occupant safety and comfort.
Key Takeaways
- Understand the smart building benefits of sharing lighting and building system data
- Learn current and future codes and standards leveraging the value of lighting system data
- Experience how a holistic building management platform can improve a building’s administration and operational efficiency.
